Govt I.T.I for Women, Kannur, is an ISO certified ITI, established in 1990, giving Skilled Training to 302 Trainees in five different Trades. Govt I.T.I for Women, Kannur started under World Bank Scheme in the Hostel Building of General I.T.I, Kannur and shifted to the present building in 1993. The foundation stone of the Building was laid by the then Honble. Minister for Labour Sri. K. Pankajakshan on 21.07.1990 and the Building was inaugurated by the then Honble. Minister for Labour Sri. N. Ramakrishnan on 24.08.1993. Govt. I.T.I for Women, is located in Kannur Taluk of Kannur District, The institute was set up with a view to uplift the women by imparting skill development training in various areas and thereby empowering the women. We have Smart Class rooms, Library, Virtual Class rooms, Air Conditioned Workshops. Other facilities. are free delicious Noon meal provided to all Trainees, Placement cell providing campus recruitments, along with NCVT Trades, parallel Short term Courses under IMC, PMKVY and NORKA ROOTS.
