Govt ITI Attingal, located in Chirayinkeezhu Taluk of Trivandrum district, was established in 1972 for providing Craftsman training in five trades. Initially the institute was at the Palace building, Attingal . In 1974 land was acquired for ITI building . Foundation stone for the present ITI building was laid in 1974 by then Labour Minister Sri.Vakkom Purushothaman . The building inaugurated and dedicated in 1978 by Sri.Oomman Chandy. Govt ITI Attingal is one of the first grade ITIs in the state
